On 01/02/13 the Caroline County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigation Division was contacted in reference to a child sex abuse investigation. Upon investigation by the Sheriff's Office Detectives it was revealed that the defendant, Scott William Zalewski (Pictured), had molested a minor child, taken sexually explicit photographs of the minor child and distributed those photos over the internet. A joint investigation was conducted with the Caroline County Department of Social Services and the Caroline County State's Attorney's Office. Anyone with any information about this case is asked to contact Detective Richard Baker at the Caroline County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigation Division. 410-479-4123.
Caroline County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) Interns Emily Rossbach and Amber Bickerton were awarded Certificates of Appreciation by Sheriff Randy Bounds at the Caroline County Commissioners meeting on December 11th. Rossback and Bickerton worked at the Sheriff's Office for a combined total of over 300 hours during the fall semester of Chesapeake College's Cooperative Work Education Program. Both are criminal justice majors at Chesapeake with goals of pursuing careers related to criminal justice.
